I’m Mattie, a freelance prop maker and mixed media artist based in Brighton, UK, where I am currently employed as a Lampshade maker.

As a maker I believe an extensive skillset is required along with a wide variety of interests to help fuel work and give the ability to find solutions for projects and help when working with other artists/makers.

I have a wide breadth of experience working with different mediums such as jewellery, metalwork, sculpture, carpentry, makeup, photography, fashion and previously have worked as a photographic assistant, makeup artist, exhibition technician, set builder and lampshade maker.

My current project is Queering the Lovespoon / Llywau Caru Cwiar. A queer reimagining of a welsh courting tradition.
